PROBABLY BETTER THAN MY 3★. I'm not really good with the short story and/or essay format. Other reviewers said the 12 characters' stories all flowed but that was not my experience. However, I did have a few possible hindrances: (1) this book may have been better on paper rather than audio, (2) I just came off a very heavy book on race in America so the switch to Britain was a bit jarring, and (3) I was in a rush to finish the book last night to meet my book goal for the year. Sorry Bernardine!

As of now, it has a 4.36-star average by 157,024 peeps, so I say go for it! Do the paper version, and take your time.

Prince Henry read this in the movie adaptation of RWRB. Of course, he must have had good taste in feminist literature. Jokes aside, this was a partially bittersweet, partially enlightening, but wholeheartedly powerful gender study. Evaristo's words are lyrical. Kept me reading all day!

FLOORED BY THIS. An exquisite piece of work. Where do I even begin to make sense of its greatness? Can't wait to share it with non-Londoners, and get their impressions.
