Didn’t quite meet the expectations i had after naming Carry On as one of the best good-mood favourites. Still, i had the same experience without the same excitement.

I loved this book, it felt like a movie where I was just watching characters I love go on a fun road trip! *audiobook*

I just felt like the climax rapped up way too quickly but other than that it was as great

Rainbow Rowell is an author that I will follow wherever she leads. I love that she tries a variety of different types of books - different styles and formats and genres. Since the first book of hers that I read, I felt like we would be friends if we met in real life.

Unfortunately, Wayward Son wasn't one of my favorites from her. If you love Simon & Baz and the gang from Carry On - it's nice to get to see what comes next. The answer is a long road trip across America for Penny, Baz and Simon to check in on Agatha.

It may be the curse of the second book in a trilogy but for me this one felt long without a lot that was really drawing me in. There was a lot of plot - but not as much connection to the characters that I remembered from the first book with Simon & Baz's relationship. I'm not sure if I'll continue to the next book in the series.

Thank you very much to Macmillan Audio for the free audiobook to listen to and review. I really enjoyed the audio production. Even though there was one narrator for all the perspectives and characters, I think he did a really great job with the various voices and accents.

Okay but that cliffhanger wtf noooooooo

Okay i enjoyed this book but i would have liked the first half of it to last for a while longer. I have many unanswered questions and it was overall a good book. Not one of my favs but I still enjoyed it.
