Liliana and Meric worked so well together! The way they pushed each other to move beyond their pasts, was 🥹.
While this book does involve some very heavy topics, it is handled very well. Overall I really enjoyed it!
🚨-this book deals heavily with trafficking. There are scenes where she goes undercover, but nothing is super graphic.

I thought the book to be very fast pace. The book at one point got to be slow and mundane with the day to day life between Lilianna and Meric. Then the book picks up later on again. I liked that Lilianna was a fighter, but I felt that Meric was frustrating at times. Overall, this book had some sad and tense moments. It definitely had some twists and turns that made the book more exciting towards the end.
