4 stars, chapters 143-151.
A great read. The artwork was gorgeous and the fights were intense. What is good about the series is that the author is not afraid to kill off characters which really helps you stay engaged and connected with the fights. In other manga series (e.g. fairy tail) you become somewhat disconnected from the fights because you know the characters have plot armour and are going to win.
Its a shame its taken until this volume for Zenitsu to not just be a comedic relief character (and I've never liked the creepy humour). Character development was necessary to start to redeem his character.
I also would have preferred the character depth to be shown differently than as backstories during fights.

SHINOBU!!! ZENITSU!!! This volume and future volumes has me so hyped!!! 😭😭😭

Spoiler Admittedly, I wish Kaigaku was foreshadowed or developed earlier since he and Zenitsu‘s backstory came out of nowhere. And I wish we could’ve had some kind of foreshadowing of Zenitsu‘s seventh form. But regardless, I still enjoyed it. And I’ll admit that seeing Zenitsu be badass and use the seventh thunder form made me: 😳🥳
