short sweet but totally worth the read

This short story had so much within its pages. Loss, heart break, healing, finding oneself etc. I actually really liked it.

A very good short story. Definitely worth a read for anyone who is looking for a little palette cleanser between books

Intriguing story

This story was short but drew you in. I read it in about 35 minutes but it felt complete and had resolution... of sorts.

Impactful 44 pages. This was an Amazon First Reads pick and it sounded interesting. Could have read about 60 more pages. But the 44 said a lot.

Two quotes I pulled that stood out:

In that moment I was aware of life pulsing all around me, indifferent to me. I was just a tiny part of a vast living, breathing ecosystem. I wasn’t at the center of anything. Maybe, I thought, life can really be this simple. Maybe I can just . . . exist.

Stillness can’t really exist, she said, because even when we’re not moving, we’re breathing, and breath is movement. I’m here. I’m breathing.
