I really enjoyed this! Cozy mystery was exactly what I was looking for this fall, and Still Life fit the bill perfectly. The town of Three Pines is so warm and charming, and I loved getting to know the characters. There were a few that felt a bit tokenized/stereotyped, which I didn’t love. Hoping their stories + personalities get fleshed out more in future books—there are plenty of opportunities in a series this robust!

Mystery has never been my cup of tea, but I enjoy a good one now and then and this was a good one! I loved the town and the characters, I just wanted to be there sipping coffee at the bistro and looking at art. It was nice to read a mystery without the violence and scariness to keep me up at night.
