A surprisingly heartfelt story about two broken people helping each other heal.

Run for your life!

Wow! This book was amazing on so many levels. It gave me all the feels. I adored Leo, I mean who wouldn't love a tortured tattooed god? I couldn't put it down.

What is your darkest fantasy? Your darkest desire? This book is about it. As usual Miss West whips up a story that is so dark about human's desire and fantasy. Abigail has this fantasy being chased by monster. Its awaken her and makes her alive. She put an ad on dating online and 1 monster, Phoenix answers her. He gives her that burning fantasy.

For all of you who familiar with miss West works, it is very very dark and twisted. But compare to Buy Me, Sir, this book is milder. More melancholic. More HEA material. But I like it the same.

So read it on you own pleasure and experience the darkest fantasy with Miss West.

Leo is amazing and Abigail is such a badass person. I really really like her. I enjoyed their stories, both of their stories. Getting past the writing was hard. Apparently paragraphs are hard for some people. The narration wasn't complimentary to eachother or the story, for one Leo's character sounded like a shriveled old man and Abigail sounded like a lost teen, not a full-grown woman finding herself. However, I really enjoyed this and there was a moment I wondered if I'd end up with a HEA after all.

This one is on the darker side and is full of potential triggers, from toxic family dynamics to child loss, not to mention the various kinks that are covered. However, the author does a good job explaining the reasons and the feelings through the potential triggers that makes this a smooth read. I'd give it a higher rating if not for the writing in small phrases.

“I don’t want careful,” I tell him. “I just want you.” “That’s just as well,” he says. “Because it’s now you I’m chasing in the dark.”

This book is different. The writing is strong and thought provoking. It comes from a place of pain and even though most would not relate to how the pain is handled, the cause of the pain is very relatable. The subject matter will be difficult for most but the writing is so good. It goes deeper and is worth the read.
