If it comes to bundle, the score is 5/5. I had evaluated them separately if you’d like to know about for each volume. Clearly, I love the 1st volume.

Anyway, I read this with two buddy reads. This one is classic Japanese comic/manga and for those who are enthusiast you should shelf this antique. And... I warn if you ain’t strong enough, you’ll get whirlwind of dizziness.

A very chilling and mysterious manga that I highly recommend to any horror fan. I breezed through it because I felt I couldn’t put it down. Very dark and twisted in the best way.

I’m not really sure what to think of this. Horror just isn’t really my thing. It’s usually either hilarious or boring, and I’m rarely creeped out or scared by it. This one mostly fell into the hilarious category but with enough bizarre and interesting ideas in it to keep me reading. So I guess that’s a success? I was reminded a lot of both Lovecraft’s work as well as VanderMeer’s Annihilation.

I started this while studying abroad 6 years ago and finally finished it. Super weird and a little creepy, but that's what was promised. Glad to have finally read it around Halloween lol

Unsettling and creepy cosmic horror. Really gets under your skin.

-1 star for the characters being real stinkers, could not careless for these guys.

It was a fun read, but I was hoping to feel more dread and "darkness" from the series.
Otherwise an interesting obsession.

Junji Ito's imagery is equally disturbing, bizarre and amazing in a class of its own. Especially chapters 10 and 11 made me uncomfortable in a way that I find difficult to put into words.

The pure, visceral joy I felt encountering some of Ito’s grotesqueries reminded me of the first time I read Chrales Burns’ Black Hole. Beautifully illustrated and genuinely frightening at times, the sense of inevitability and cosmic horror really did it for me.
