Like the previous book, it brings forth a (mostly) interesting story. The bending is still a bit OP, with the effortless lightning bending and the tiny zaps of electricity as an example.
I do really enjoy the exploration of Ursa and Azulas relationship. Throughout the series and the book, we see memories of Ursa scolding and lecturing Azula regarding her cruel behaviour, but we also see small moments of peace and love. Azula herself is sure her mother hates her, which we see in both works, and yet we never once see Azula's hallucination of Ursa say or do anything cruel to her. "Ursa" talks about loving her and being worried about her and loving her. Deep down, I think Azula knows her mom loves her, but she is too broken to fully accept it. I want to see more of them talking and possibly reconcile.
The reason Ursa removed her memories is bs, though. It was a huge letdown after the series built this mystery.

I just love the avatar world and re reading all of these is giving me so much life. Peace for Zuko is something I truly longed for him to have to the fullest and with this he finally found it.
