Lives up to the amazing-ness of the previous two novels extremely well. Another fantastic 5/5 star book from V.E. Schwab. Absolutely can't wait for a fourth instalment of one of my favourite series

Another fantastic entry in the Cassidy Blake series. This time Cassidy herself is being hunted by a supernatural being through New Orleans. There is a lot more focus on the interactions between Cassidy, Jacob and Lara in this novel, then the ghost stories and historical haunting sites of the original two. This definitely brought more humour to the story to balance out the creepiness factor.

I think more conversation and character development (particularly Lara's) really elevates this book amongst the others in the series. The stakes are definitely higher too as Cassidy is told earlier on that she will need to sacrifice something(one) in order to prevail over the supernatural forces! This keeps the reader invested and turning the pages!
