The Quick and Dirty: After sacrificing herself to the shadow realm in order to save Garrett, she must find her inner light and fight to get back to her guys. There's a war coming and Ari needs to learn to channel her abilities in order to save the pack. She makes new allies along the way but she also loses someone she loves.

**Mild spoilers**
Warning: make sure you have a protective case because you're going to want to chuck your phone across the room at the end. The ending is just evil. Someone Ari loves dies and I have no idea how the next book is going to play out without this person. The world building and story telling was excellent though and this sophomore novel in the series is 🔥🔥🔥. Can't wait for the next one!

Oh holy mother if cliffhangers, I want to kick the authors butt and then shake her until the next book falls out of her head. This book hangover is going to be a real bi**h.

I loved this book and devoured it in one sitting. It started nice and slow, but kept picking up speed until sat at the edge of my seat with bouncing legs. The plot thickens.

I highly recommend you check out this series. You won't be disappointed.

Noooooo!

No, that ending! My heart is broken for Ari but I know this will make her stronger and more determined. Looking forward to the conclusion.

Lost In Shadow by Erin O’Kane is the second book in Shadowborn Series, and I was again captivated by the incredible story.

With Ari trapped in the Shadow Realm and the darkness trying to draw her in, it’s up to her men to watch over her until she can return. But the fates have only just begun playing with her life. With more bonds forming between Ari and her men, and supernaturals disappearing at every turn I was hooked on how this would play out.

The emotions and storyline are well written throughout the entire story, and the ending will leave you wanting to start to final book immediately.

Lost In Shadow begins where the previous book left off, and Ari must figure out how to get back before it is too late. This one brings in a lot more interesting aspects to her mates, and it also allows Ari to grow a little as a person as well. However, the ending was extremely sad and I can't believe that actually happened. I keep thinking there has to be away that it wasn't real. It ends in a crazy cliffhanger.

fUCK mE.

Lost in Shadow picks up right after the end of book 1. Ari is trapped in the Shadow Realm after sacrificing herself to save Garret. Ari meets a mysterious guy who seems to want to help. She temporarily trusts him and is able to make her way back to the world of the living. But things are not looking good in the shifter community. Supernaturals are being taken left and right, and shifters are appearing tortured and murdered. The police force, ASP, refuses to listen to these claims or do anything about them. It's now up to Ari and her pack to get down to the bottom of it.

I absolutely loved this installment, even more than the first one. Hunted by Shadows gives us a taste of Ari's possible relationships with the guys, but in this book we actually get to see some of the changes to the guys as well as how their complicated love life might work out. Ari also finds out she has another mate, because already having one True Mate and three other mates wasn't enough for her.

Ari was extra ferocious in this book. While she's always been intense and dominant, she's downright dedicated. She is determined to take down the Shadow pack, and learn how to control her Shadow powers. The mystery of her gifts is explained a bit more and we get to learn more about Shadowborn in general.

I really loved seeing Ari stepping up into a leadership role and I can't wait to see what will happen. The ending was fucking evil and I AM DEAD. I told my friend I wasn't reading book 3 since it's not out as an audiobook, but wow that's going to be a lie.

I enjoyed the first book, I hadn't read a shifter book in a while and didn't mind book number one.

However, I am a little disappointed with book two. While O’Kane has created levels of suspense with character interactions I don't feel like the story progressed greatly. The end of the book is reached very quickly with little between the start of the book and the end. Other than a lot a ’pacing and first clenching’ and threesomes. The threat is clear and the players involved have been revealed but I still don't know what the sole dramatic question is.

It felt like some of it was forced and characters were thrown in without bringing anything to the story.

Certain romantic relationship also seemed to come from nowhere as well, with no prior interactions or relationship building before a sudden connection is established and pulling to that person.

I felt like the world building was somewhat limited too.

On a positive note, Ari’s character does show levels of progression, I wholeheartedly believe the main character should grow and change through a story and Ari does change.

I appreciated the pace, in book one Ari is trapped in the shadow realm. I was glad to see that there wasn't a huge portion of the book just spent there.
