And once again, an arc ends with
Spoilerseveral of the characters we've come to know dying. Pioran I've become quite fond of in spite of my frustration with her in one of the earlier volumes (although, the summary for the next volume spoiled her death for me a while ago). But with the Nokker zombies, I'm more concerned that one of them seems to have survived, which means Fushi may not have gotten Parona and March's forms back than about Tonari's friends being dead, due to them being pretty one dimensional. I only felt a little bad because it was an awful way to go and I did become attached to Tonari who was very torn up.

Fushi is developing more, and I did like Tonari's development.

Fushi is going to regret
Spoilernot killing Hayase
. I'm kind of glad this arc is over though and I'm looking forward to see what new people/groups Fushi ends up with.

A weird attempted rape, plus a lot of characters trying to save each other and then totally undermining each other's efforts.

Meh. This felt like ALL filler to me. At least the story has progressed beyond the island, I guess.
