I didn't like the narrator as much as the last one, but this one was funny. It was nice seeing Jace, Tessa, Will, and Jem again.

THIS ONE HAS WILL HERONDALE IN IT!!!! Absolutely made my day. Good story, and the fact that it contained Will, Tessa, and Jem made it all the better. Little Jamie is so cute with his spoon!

This is the best one so far simply because Jace meets Tessa Gray and learns more about his family history

I honesty cracked up at how this short story started! I thought it was hilarious how George and Simon started out playing "I Spy" before voicing their concerns about the possibility of Idris having snakes. I really love Simon and George's friendship. I can't wait to know more about George, and I'm excited to see what he and Simon get into.

Jace coming to the Academy was a nice surprise, but not as much of a surprise as it was to see Tessa!

I loved revisiting the lives of Tessa, Will, and Jem! Seeing Will's sister, Cecily, and her husband, Gabriel, living in the London Institute with Will and Tessa was nice. Their children too! All of their kids are adorable and funny. James Herondale was running around the Institute with a wooden spoon that he's supposedly attached too. He's definitely his father's son.

The story that Tessa came to tell the kids at the Academy instantly caught my attention. She came to tell the class about how Shadowhunters have been involved in mundane history. She told them about how she, Will, Gabriel and Cecily solved the case of Jack the Ripper. I love the mystery that surrounds Jack the Ripper, so this short story was practically meant for me!

This short story was much better than the book, [b:Stalking Jack the Ripper|28962906|Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper, #1)|Kerri Maniscalco|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1471010109s/28962906.jpg|47434536]

My favorite part was when James was being affectionate with his Uncle Gabriel and his response was:

"You're such a good boy," he said. "I often wonder how you could possibly be Will's."

"Spoon," James said, leaning against his uncle's leg lovingly.

"No, Jamie," Will urged. "Your honorable father has been impugned. Attack, attack!"

This cracked me up for a solid 5 minutes!

Jace finally talked to Tessa and she revealed how they are related. Now Jace can finally hear more about the Herondale family, which excites and scares him, unsure of what he'll find out about his family.

The story ended with Simon forcing Jace to wait outside his room as he wrote a letter for Izzy, promising her that he would do his best to make himself worth the wait. Though, of course, Simon couldn't write a letter without making several jokes. But regardless, the letter was sweet and very Simon-like.

I feel like I'd like this more if I was actually attached to Tessa and Will -_-
