I suppose graphic novels are not really my thing, because I was confused basically all the time here. I really liked Dark One: Forgotten, and I was very excited to finally read the original story. But, well, it made no sense to me. This idea of someone being destined to be "the Dark One" and never even asking "why would anyone want to be 'dark'?" didn't really work for me. Also, the "final twist" makes no sense to me whatsoever, but maybe it might if there's ever a sequel.

I've always been hesitant to read a Brandon Sanderson book because I just have a feeling his stories aren't for me, and I was right. I was bored the whole time reading this, the dialogue was so over done that I was rolling my eyes nearly every page, and I didn't care for any characters.

The only reason I didn't DNF is because it's a graphic novel and a quick read.
