Finlay and Vero are at it again, and this time their shenanigans lead them to a weekend in Atlantic City. What starts out as a girls' weekend ends up including Finlay's ex, Finlay's mom, and several police officers, including Nick and Finlay's sister.

And then of course, would it even be a Finlay Donovan book if there wasn't another dead body she stumbles upon?

I love these books and this was another solid addition to the series, even if some things feel like they're repeating themselves. The love triangle is thankfully done with (sorry if that's a spoiler, but I'd be annoyed if it was dragged across four books), but Finlay's life still gets more and more complicated. I did think the ending felt like things were starting to wrap up some, but apparently there's going to be seven books in the series. No matter how many books there end up being, I'll still be here for the ride.

Thanks so much to NetGalley and Minotaur Books for my eARC!

I have loved this entire series, and this was no exception. It was so fun to go on a road trip adventure with them and see (some of) their loose ends tied up. Many of the events were fairly implausible, but Finlay and Vero are still some of my favorite characters.

And with that ending, I'm already looking forward to book #5 in the series.

Thank you to Net Galley and Minotaur Books for the ARC.

Another wild, wacky Finlay & Vero weekend. And once again, I have no idea how Finn and Vero manage to do everything they do…
A) without getting caught red-handed
B) with the tiny little number of hours they always seem to have
C) without giving themselves away
D) and with everyone around!!!

Also, why do they make such ridiculous decisions?!?! I suppose that’s part of the hilarity and charm of these books. This one ties up much of the prior three with a neat little bow…until the end, lol.

Overall, great read that I enjoyed very much (despite the stress and overwhelming sense of dread that I get in the pit of my stomach because they are chaos magnets and also Finlay’s kids are at the hellion stage).

Thank you so much to Goodreads and Minotaur Books for providing me with an ARC of this upcoming book in the Finlay Donovan series! I am happy to report that I enjoyed this one more than #3. There are lots of the zany, unbelievable happenings that we expect from Finlay, but also the humour and the courage of her character as well. Looking forward to book #5!

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, but I lost some interest in books 2 and 3. I was thankful that this tied up loose ends that have been around since the beginning. My lower rating mostly pertains to my feelings about how everything was resolved and who was held responsible. I just wasn't satisfied with the ways certain characters took accountability (or often didn't) for their actions. I love that Finlay and Nick love each other, but it was stressful to me how many secrets remain in their relationship.

Thank you Netgalley for an ARC edition of this book in return for an honest review.

I never, ever get sick of adventuring with Finlay and Vero. This book picks up right where the last one left off, with Finlay and Vero looking for the Aston, as well as the loan shark that Vero owes. They end up heading off to Atlantic City with Finn’s mom, kids, and ex-husband in tow. They are joined quickly by Nick, Georgia, Sam, Garrett, and Charlie.

I don’t want to give away anything because this book was just so fun to read. The shenanigans are bigger, the laughs louder, and the sweet moments even sweeter. With the misunderstanding about the diner and it’s actually a strip club, I cried laughing. Finlay’s mom is so great. I freaking love this series. It’s one of my absolute favorites and I want to read about Finlay and Vero’s crazy adventures forever.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
