First Anne Boyer read, liked a lot of it. Only docking a star for the hints of “what if phones but too much”

Anne Boyer is my favorite writer. She sucker punches me on each page. It hurts, but I love it.

I maintain that Anne Boyer is America’s greatest living thinker, let alone poet.

Probably the best collection of essays I’ve ever read. Boyer weaves us through art criticism, sickness, problems of capitalism, the forms our work might take, poetry as protest, and so much more creating looping patterns and interesting parallels.
