The ending was too abrupt and the epistolary portions were unnecessary. Also the bare bones of the plot is exactly the same as the other book I read by this author.

Really loved the plot of this one. Bad boy hero forever in love with his heroine but never feeling good enough for her. One of my favorite kind of plots.
The author did a good job with flash backs of showing the heros emotional states and why he had the feelings he had for the heroine. And it was easy for me to see why the herione's heart would forever belong to the bad boy. Got to love a modern day reformed rake.

Someone posted that this book was inexpensive and that they really liked it. I can't remember who. I wish I did because I want to thank them. This was good, very good. It's fluff with the next door love and all that, but it's also good. And does have a slight darker tinge to it, I wanted to beat the shit out of the brother of the hero for his reaction to all of this Then the author had the heroine handle it really classily, which I appreciated. So, yeah, I'd definitely recommend this, with the caveat that there might be some slight triggers for some people

with the child abuse angle. Because that's what it was. And some might say that that part got glossed over, but I liked that it wasn't the defining point of the story. The fact that the dad wasn't as important as the hero healing from what happened. Yes, it was child abuse. An 11 year old drinking and smoking because his dad's pressuring him to? Not healthy, and more than neglect. Then having a grown ass woman taking a 13 year old's virginity? Abuse. Plain and simple.Spoiler
because victim blaming is NEVER okay.Spoiler
but the fact that the author dealt with the child abuse with a light hand will hopefully help.
