WOW. This one had me going THROUGH IT. What a glorious heart-pounding whirlwind. Alliances lost and found, sweeping war across many lands and climates… this is what a true magical fantasy book should be. Of course I love the romance involved and all of the friendships sewn into the heart of this series, but ACOWAR was definitely heavy on intense battle and strategy and unbridled power, which really drew me in even deeper to that fantasy world where anything could happen. And anything DID happen!! While a little slow through the middle of the story after an incredibly cunning and sharp start, the last 200 pages more than made up for it. Edge of my seat with tears in my eyes, ready to slaughter Hybern like a well-trained Illyrian soldier. It was, in a word, EPIC.

LONG LIVE PRYTHIAN!!!!!

  • Okay it put me in a pretty big reading slump not gonna lie. Like i picked up to other books in an attempt to get me to keep reading it. But the plot was so tense at certain points that it kept me interested. I did hate that the whole book was centered on war and politics like i could’ve cared less. Why did it take them 700+ pages for the war to happen in the last 200. I was not amused. Even though we hate Tampon i would like to give him a hug for being lonely now. Like it wasn’t his fault he had attachment issues well maybe it was but i don’t know if i would want him to drop his roll as high lord of the spring court to go be with luicien at velaris. But also how is Az and Luic gonna fall in love with Elain like im dancing on the edge ready to find out. What else are they to face now that hybern is gone ??? Idk if I’ll continue reading or not havent decided yet.overall it was an okay book I wouldn’t 100% recommend it though.

Ok I’m liking how azriel has opened up more. Bro and the fact that Feyre saw the little boy (the bone carver)
who is gonna be her son.
I have no idea what amren is and honestly she’s so hot. Like extremely. And her and nesta??? Literally diabolical, actually going to destroy this world.

Ok I finished it and wow. Just wow.
Amren was unleashed which was beautiful. She killed every Hybren soldier in her path. Amazing. But the cauldron wasn’t in great shape they had to fix it and then Rhysand died. Bro so did their dad. The bone carver and the weaver.
Genuinely so sad. Braxis also escaped. Funny fellow. I loved those 3 together.
Why does Cassian always have to be crawling to someone?
Cant he ever be happy?
I also genuinely thought nesta was about to lose her mind, the head scene??? I wonder if her powers were taken like Amren’s.
Mor bro MOR. She’s gay and I love that for her.

So is Helion, bro I hope the lady of autumn and him reconcile. Like physically and literally. Because Beron is a complete dick
I’m so upset that no one’s telling Lucien that he’s actually his father and not beron??? Like he should know. And when Feyre and Rhysand made the bargain that they’d die together
😭😭😭😭 dead, literally pun intended

I loved this book, it had everything you could want. Love, war, life, death, magic, power, romance, hatred, friendship, sex, world building and so much more. Badass main characters which are so fucking loveable. Epic moments which you can visualise so clearly in your mind. Goosebump worthy writing. Emotional heartbreak.
Absolutely beautiful book that sits as the third book in the A Court Of Thorns And Roses series and is a series that I will definitely be rereading before the year is up.
Satisfactory ending? Yes.

I felt so many emotions when I read this. The book begins with Feyre being the fox among chickens, where she schemes and plots and tears apart the Spring Court, after both Tamlin and Ianthe betrayed her. When Feyre is satisfied, she returns to the Night Court, where they have to deal with the after effects of the misadventure on Hybern. What follows is lots of war prep, alliances, feelings, and WAR.

This was so good, I greatly enjoyed this story. I’m looking forward to more.
