It's the war of the centuries that's been building for ages. The culmination of every thread, the realization of everything they (we!) have worked for.

So why didn't it shine?

The utter lackluster quality of this took me off guard. And honestly, I think it all comes down to the fact that SJM doesn't know how to write a battle scene. It seemed like everyone just stood there??? Very slow for a war. 

Extremely disappointing, but still good.

This book had me crying like no other ughhh the characters are so loveable and I just being in this world. It is so beautifully described that I can just see everything so vividly.
