Ok, yes the covers of these books are terrible. I don't understand them at all. That said, I am addicted to this story! Now the dynamic between Lana and Hadley, it's so good!

These cliffhangers keep getting me to pick up the next one.  They tease you with part of the riddle being explained and then you have to read to find out how the FBI will discover the rest.
