Great concept and the mystery was cleverly unravelled. I also found the politics of life as a Lock In fascinating, especially given the conversations around rights and health in the US right now.

A very crazy time to read this book. It’s like the sci fi/computer nerd version of 2020. I pretty much finished it in two sittings. And I’m starting the sequel about now.

What if a disease locked you in your on body... but you could use a robot body to get around instead? This is the case for Shane who works for the FBI.

Really great premise for a twisted (but a little predictable) detective story with great characters. I hope this becomes a series, I'd love to learn more about the world Scalzi built and about his amazing characters.

Excellent.
Jumps right into the story with a flavor of world building at the beginning. The introduction to the world was just enough. This author knows you are reading a book to have a good time and not study the political ramifications of a world awash in crippling disease, robots, government mishandling, and corporate greed. Yes, he made these topics fun.

Not usually a sci-fi reader but this one has just enough character development and story line the the futuristic aspects were background. Quick run read.
