Reva starts out as such a bitch, but I enjoyed seeing why she was that way and her character arc. I didn't guess who was doing what, the mean jokes, the murder...so that was nice. Really enjoyed it over-all.

4 out of 5 stars!

When I started this book I didn't think I would be able to deal with the main character, Reva Dalby, the spoiled, snobby, rich girl. I found her disregard for other human beings to be too irritating.
But R.L. Stine did a good job with shifting the focus from her to many other characters in the story, those of which all ended up with a motive to do her harm.

I ended up really enjoying this story and it was the perfect read for Christmas time.

There were mall santas, mystery gifts, Christmas trees, and snow, all neatly wrapped up in this book. Surprisingly there was action as well.

Some of the plot twists actually caught me off guard, which was a pleasant surprise.
And with the twists that I was able to predict, it just made the reading experience more fun.

Would recommend this book for the Christmas/winter season
and I look forward to reading Silent Night 2 and Silent Night 3.

Eeek! This book is proof that I need to take a trip to Fear Street for more nostalgia fun once I complete my tour of the original Goosebumps series! I mean it starts out with a tiny sharp razor blade in someone's lipstick... YES!
