A very quick read and packed full of information, while being easy to read and understand. It talks about all aspects of Flow but moves on pretty quickly, making it enjoyable to read and easy to connect and understand.

Author does a really good job explaining complex concepts and providing examples to help the reader understand how to implement the presented ideas.

So deep and intensive I skimmed most of it. Also, having a harder and harder time reading books about how to be happy that start by off-handedly mentioning faith and then simply dismissing it as something unworthy of pursuit.

The central concept of "flow" is a good and valuable one and I liked how the author articulated it. However, I found large parts of this book rather repetitive - the same material could have basically been covered in a talk or article. Also, I was not a big fan of the late-1980s moralizing sprinkled throughout.

The author explains "flow" in various aspects in life so that it can be applicable to all of us. He used some good examples to support his points. All in all he is trying to explain "happiness" and "meaning of life" using this mental state.

The book started off slow but it picked up the pace. It also base its points on a few assumptions that are not fully backed up. However if you follow along it should makes sense.

This book was underwhelming because I was hyped up so much about this book before reading it. Now I'm in 10% of the book, and I'm already a little offended. He has been speaking about what is not, but he hasn't talked about what is. Firstly, I don't care what's not, so stop beating around the bush. Secondly, how would you know I'm not one of them who believe in those you say is not?

We will see how it goes in the next 90% of the book.

The concepts in this book are very similar to what is explained in a lot of Yoga and mindfulness book. Was interesting to read it from the "why" perspective.
