Anxious to begin her first day at Salerno Health, Elyssa Hart finds herself distracted by the intense man she has a brief encounter with. Finding out he is a VP in the company has her torn with being an employee lusting after a boss, but Alexander Jones has her completely perplexed. One moment he is sweet and appears interested, the next he is sharp and intense. As they begin a relationship of sorts, but it is not a smooth road for either one. Both carry ghosts from their past and overtime Elyssa shares, but Alex is holding his mistakes close to his chest and when it is all revealed Elyssa finds that other people are at play trying to tear them apart.
Intensely provocative. Alex is a troubled soul, he has done things that make you bristle when reading but he truly loves Elyssa, she gives him hope. I thought this was a fantastic read. Am eager for the next book in the series.
