Gimme Some Sugar is the fifth book in the Sex & Sweet Tea series by the talented Juliette Poe, the alter ego of Sawyer Bennett. This series is set in Whynot, North Carolina and follows five siblings and their loves. Larkin is the last in the family to find her happily ever after. Sexy, biker Deacon Locke is just passing through town when he meets Larkin. He's so intrigued by her that he stops on his way by again and plans to stay for a while. Larkin has never seen a man so hot. And he's sweet and totally alpha. She never thought she'd want to be with a man like him, but she can't say no to Deacon. He wants to take things slow and savor her. He doesn't know how long he's going to be in town. Turns out, he doesn't really want to leave. Will Deacon decide Larkin is more important than his nomadic lifestyle? This story is so fun and sweet! Larkin is a doll with her sass and cuteness and Deacon is sexy and such a nice guy! I loved meeting and getting to know this family!

"What's your name?"
"My what?"
"Your name?" he repeats.
"Larkin."
"That totally matches. Your name to you. Your beautiful name matches the rest of you."

Larkin & Locke...

The (what she thinks) chubby bakery girl, and the mega hot biker dude.... who doesn’t care at all about the few curves. And how sweet he is in reassuring her. Swoon 😍

Larkin, sweet small town girl down to the core, loving her little bakery and her life in Whynot, can’t believe that Locke might be interested in her at all.

Locke, nomad, never staying anywhere long, just as long as the job goes. Can he stay in one place for love?

I really liked the story about these 2! Great connection, easy to read, not much drama, perfect to dive into a little world of HEA.

This story was super adorable and sweet! I loved every single moment of it.

Deacon is a hot, bad boy biker (though he is really super sweet) and Larkin is the small town girl, she owns her own bakery. He is constantly moving around, taking jobs here and there and Larkin is the girl that has no plans to ever leave her small town. Complete opposites of one another.

I loved the chemistry between Deacon and Larkin was on point. They are not only perfect for each other, but I love how easily he bonded with her entire family. The small town vibe throughout the story was absolutely hilarious, everyone seemed to know what happened between them within seconds! It was especially funny when it came to the handcuffs. I was dying of laughter when it came to that scene.

This story was sweet, had the romance, also had a few sad moments when it came to Deacon. This is the last book in a series, but the first one that I have read. The story can be read as a standalone, but I am definitely going to go back and read the rest of the siblings books to learn more about their stories.

Sit down, grab your sweet tea or lemonade and visit the town of Whynot, NC with the super adorable romance!

It is always fun times heading back to Whynot, NC. This time we have the baker and the biker - and a whole lotta sweetness.

Larkin is the Mancinkus sibling that I have really been waiting for. She has been there for all her siblings as they have found their HEA, and as happy as she is for them all, she wants hers.

My heart hurts at times for her, as she doesn't see herself the way that everyone else does. We have all had those self doubts in our lives and it takes a great guy to show her what everyone else sees.

Deacon... le sigh. He is all kinds of swoony (though I am not all with the Jax Teller stuff, nope, not for me). I love the way he treats our lovely Larkin,

It was great so see a bit more of the previous couples from the earlier books. And I had soooo forgotten how much I love Morri!

I loved that there was no OTT drama, and that our lovelies, though they had their issues, they talked things through instead of throwing tanties and not communicating.

Full of spark and snark, I read Gimme Some Sugar in one day and enjoyed every second of it.

I have really been enjoying this series, as each book has been released. The town of Whynot and its residents may be small town, but they're full of heart. Particularly our main characters, the Mancinkus family.

This time it's Larken's story that we get, with Deacon Locke, who previously met at the end of the previous book. Deacon is a pretty awesome dude, and I like how he pushes Larken to see herself how he see's her, not how her insecurities make her feel.

Everything flows pretty easily in this one, and its fun watching these two get to know each other and learn about their families and pasts. Everything wrapped up nicely, and played out the way I expected it to by the end. No overdone angst either, which is always a plus. Not my favourite of the series, but enjoyable and I would recommend.

This is the final book in the Sex and Sweet Tea series and it definitely did not disappoint, if anything I'm sad to see it come to an end. Larkin is finally giving us her story and talk about one unexpected swoon-worthy man for her. Deacon Locke is a man who loves to travel, see the world until he meets Larkin, she's the game changer and the one who just might be able to change his ways. This was such a sweet, sexy, fun read that I consumed every page with rapt attention because I wanted to savor every moment of this final book!
