My rating may be a bit unfair. This was my first time reading something that was formatted as manga rather than a comic, and my unfamiliarity with those conventions may have lowered my opinion. And it definitely distracted me from following what was happening, because I was spending so much mental energy on reading in the proper order. I also come at this having read some of Doyle's Sherlock, but never having watched the TV version on which this title is apparently based. I wonder if my rating would be higher, if I had read other manga first.
