What's not to like about a story featuring a cop and a fireman?
Max has recently moved to the small town where Finn (and his gorgeous friends who will appear in future books in the series) grew up. The story starts with Max rescuing Finn from a burning building with an immediate connection forming between the two men. What follows is a story of Max and Finn building their relationship while the arsonist continues to be at large.
Hot men, hot sex, lives at risk, emotions being denied.....HEA.

While I did enjoy the characters painted by the author, and liked the idea of big-city firefighter leaving for small town work due to his sexuality, I found the story... lacking somehow.

Whether it was the poor sentence structure, or the spelling and grammar issues, I'm not sure. But its not a 5-star story for me.

The characters were likeable, even if I found myself wanting to learn more about the subcharacters. I wish there had been more exposition on Max and Finn, but in a 79 page story, what can you do?

Despite the grammar issues and my wariness as to how the suspense side of the plot panned out, it was a fun read, and the scenes between Max and Finn were wonderful to read, even if their initial interaction had me wondering if that was how people really acted.

I’m in a slump don’t want to rate it bc that wouldn’t be fair. It’s cheesy and insta everything but there is a firefighter.

Eh.
Nothing interesting really happening, they click off too fast, the back story is interesting but too slow.

I feel the pace is so wrong
Also 0 attachment to them, it gives small background depth but 0 explanation (yet)

It wouldnt minf me so much if this was a 300 pages book, but thid id alfeady 54%of the book

Lovely book by RJ, who's definitely in my top authors for fluff reads. The Fireman and the Cop is a short, sweet read, with a little smexin' and lots of tension (sexual and suspenseful). Another series I'm going to be continuing.

From page one I loved how protective Max was over Finn. The insta-love was a big part of this story but it's what both men needed.
Quick read with sweet love between Max & Finn

Thank you Very Secret Santa

Not a bad start to the series, it was an easy read that kept me entertained.
I did feel it was a little bit rushed at times especially with all that was going on.
I did like both MCs but felt like there was something missing. The baddy came a little out of left field and there just wasn’t enough work done there to make it work, especially with the background that came out

Will revisit this series as I’m interested in some of the other characters

First in a series, setting up the next 2 books as well.
An enjoyable romp with Max, the Fireman, and Finn, the Cop. Finn seems to be attracting trouble (though his recovery rates do seem very quick!) with burning buildings, tampered cars and kidnap.
