Very interesting story with beautiful art. It's hard to talk about it without spoiling it and I think going in, like I did, knowing nothing is the best thing you can do.

This comic definitely relies more on its exploration of concepts such as what it means to be alive, sense of life purpose, and the act of creation (oh and evil corporations, this time it's an Australian one!), than particularly rewarding story or character arcs. Then again it is rather short at only 185 pages to tackle as much as it aims to. Ultimately I left feeling satisfied, though it left itself open to sequels (nearly five years later I'm not sure it will happen, but I'd like it to!).

The art is absolutely beautiful, and I loved the story line, the idea, the message. A few of the characters were a bit too pigeon-holed/cliche, but overall, I enjoyed this very much.

4.5 stars!

I only got like halfway through this and it’s just so boring and unmemorable that I cannot finish it.

Promising debut for a sci-fi/spec-fic title. There's a lot happening in this volume, and we ultimately get way more questions than answers, but it's a fun ride involving strong female protagonists and sentient A.I. I hope the creators are able to continue the story because I'd love to see more.

Really enjoyed the concept of an NPC character in a game glitching and making their own decisions instead of what they are programmed to and the resulting exploration of what makes a person a person. Also nice to see a BIPOC main character. Artwork was great - loved the colors.

As an IT professional with coding experience, reading this book felt like what doctors must deal with any time they watch a medical show on TV – a catalog of teeth-grinding inaccuracies clearly only added for the sake of drama.

If you can accept the basic premise that a game developer could accidentally create a self-aware, artificially intelligent NPC and then find a way to bring the NPC out of the game and into a robotic body, you’ll probably find a lot to like about this book, especially the art.

I was too distracted by the fact that the developer carries around the code for the NPC in some kind of glowing orb that projects a hologram of the character’s face. The orb (precious, breakable) is the only copy of that character (no backups or code check-ins, I guess) so when the villainous CEO of the game company breaks the orb in a fit of rage, the developer is in danger of losing all her work.

I liked the idea of this book more than the execution.

This is a story that it's best to go into blind. It's a bit confusing at first, but at the end of the first issue there is a twist that explains what's going on.

I love this one, and I want lots of people to read it. The art is stunning, and slightly different for each of the settings we find ourselves in over the course of the story. Same with colors (and Marcelo Costa does incredible work on the colors). The page layouts are gorgeous. It also says some interesting things about learning who you are, and does it in a thought provoking way. It's pretty world-building heavy, so if that isn't something you look for in a graphic novel you might want to pass. But it's one of my favorite titles I've picked up recently, and I hope new issues come soon.

This is discount Westworld with a space theme. I do enjoy Westworld and I do enjoy space but unoriginality is a bit deterring.

The story is very interesting but the characters aren’t developed enough to optimize that story.
