Quickie Review-May contain spoilers, fair warning upon reading this review

I wanted to really enjoy this story, and honestly he is my favorite of this crew so far. But to be honest this book was lacking and didn't deliver as I expected. I really didn't enjoy the setup of the romance, the angst or the heroine at all. The heroine just rubbed me the wrong way and is my least favorite of the heroines we have been introduced to. I just didn't feel the chemistry between these two and it felt so lackluster from the previous books. And also the heroine was very toxic at times and not in a good way. In a way, that leaves you with a bitter taste in your mouth on the negatives of feminism. She felt very ignorant and is it bad I wished that she was the villain and got some justice? Yeah that's how I felt about her. I wanted this hero to get a satisfying ending with a woman that would understand him and connect with him and give him what he needed, and just didn't feel like she came even close to that. I will probably take some time before I read Player, because this turned me off completely and I truly don't want to take it out on the rest of the books or this author. I really respect her and loved the first two books.

It took too long to get to the point. I was bored and already over 100 pages in. I had no idea where it was going.

Colton the perfect Joker.

Shelly the perfect Batman.

Both full of dark souls, troubled by their past, righting the wrongs of their past.

Beautifully made for each other. The Ying and Yang.

The banter back and forth between Colton and Shelly was deliciously entertaining for me. Sparring verbal insults trying to best each other.

Loved this series and Colton was perfection!

Even the Joker can have a soft side, maybe?

Its a roller coaster ride

If you have read the previous two books in this series, you will have had a trial size sample of what and who cotton is. The enigma of his duel sided personality only really comes out in his own story. Shelley and her sisters are a force in their own right. She truly is his equal. Shelley never seems fazed by him, until they get too cost for comfort. That's when the fireworks really start to fly. This book was an excellent joyride and had me laughing and tearing up at certain moments. Great read.

Now Colton owns my heart! First, it was Adam, my psycho, then I fell for Devon, my reaper, and now, I feel like no one can top my joker, Colton. He is everything that is right with love. He is honest, open, devoted, loyal, funny, honorable, protective, charming, gorgeous and smexy as f. There are a lot more adjectives to describe my sweet sweet Colton so I know you will absolutely love The Joker by Nikki J. Summers. I swooned, laughed, even cried during my reading. Let’s not forget all the most sensual and spiciest intimate scenes we were blessed with. I mean mirror, mirror on the wall…
