These authors do a really good job of realizing a polyamorous relationship. I dug it. 3.5

Hot hot polyamorous hot. I loved the first 2 books in this series, and after being introduced to Lachlan and Beth in previous books i was looking forward to seeing how their story played out. This did not disappoint. With the arrival of Hugh we see some old feelings resurface and new feelings grow and develop. Throw in the already summering heat between Lachlan & Beth and it is one steamy story. There is a lot of the expected hot sex, but also plenty of sweet little nonsexual scenes between all the characters.
While there is frequent mention in this series of links to the bdsm community & kink it is not heavy on those elements. Soft kink? A lot of it reads more like really hot vanilla sex with a dash of kink. So those hoping for a heavier bdsm story might not be satisfied. There are a few shows of dominance and submission, but those scenes are short and portrayed in a very sensitive way. These 3 characters give us lots of emotion and heart. I love the ending and epilogue.

I have no idea why I read this out of order (I started book 1 and 2 a long time ago but never finished, LOL) but anyway this was entertaining. Hugh’s my favourite, poor misguided man.

The first two books in the Frisky Beavers series gave little hints at the tension between Beth, the Prime Ministers executive assistant, and Lachlan, the Prime Minister's Chief of Security. And since this whole seres has an element of kink, there was plenty of that, with the introduction of Hugh Evans, a former cop and a new member of the Prime Ministers security detail.

This triangle was difficult to follow because there were times when I honestly thought Hugh was the woman - even though he was supposed to be the dominant, alpha male. There was also a lot of going on with each character, while they were figuring out this new relationship. Hugh and Lachlan knew each other ten years ago, and now they were feeling the same thing for the exact same woman. And then Beth trying to figure out the kink world and what she likes and wants.

But ultimately it was about three people being in a relationship that majority of society frowns upon. Lots of hot, intense scenes. There were also appearances from other characters from previous books, with enough of a tease to make me want to read the next book in the series.

Fun triad romance. Very heavy on the hot sex but there are also a lot of small, sweet domestic moments. With three people there's three times the drama but they do a pretty good job of taking turns. I very much enjoyed. I would very much like more books in this series in my hot little hands.

God bless Canada. Literally, these books are RIDICULOUS. RIDICULOUSLY HOT. I've never read a book quite like this - in more ways than one.
