Loved how short this was because I was looking for a quick read! This story was cute! Beck’s long time crush on Lucas is adorable. Seeing their romance play out was so fun.

Beck, the female lead, has been a boxing fan since she was a child, thanks to her father. She has followed Lucas’ career and long fantasised about meeting him (and more). Now, as a sports reporter, she’s given the opportunity to cover a match and is deeply disappointed by the lack of energy in his performance.

Lucas, the male lead, has been struggling with motivation but thought he was covering it well. When Beck calls him out, he pursues her go try to understand how she saw what no one else has.

This short story is dual POV, well written, and full of cute awkwardness as the characters try to work themselves out.
