This book was written in 1903 and takes place in Alaska in 1897. At first it was upsetting because a dog was kidnapped from its home in California and taken to Alaska to work the Klondike gold fields. It was very interesting to hear how he adapted to life in the wild. It is well-written and at times fast-paced. There are parts that quite violent and upsetting but overall very good book.

This book was so good and it made me so frustrated with humans(like if i didn’t hate already humankind). London is terrific describing the nature and how a dog reacts; the writing rocks in this book. This book is a classic for a reason
