Next in Line is the story of Quinn, the next to the youngest McKallister. He and his sister Grace were so young when Jake's trauma occurred their after-effects have been different from the rest of the family. One thing is sure, Quinn is in pursuit of music.

Next in Line is the story of Quinn growing as a brother, a musician, and a man. It is also the story of Jess, who needs a hero in her life and the life of her son, and we get to watch Quinn truly grow into that hero. This book was so touching in so many ways; we see Quinn's struggles and how he is holding on to things he needs to let go of. He has a lot of wisdom spoken into his life by family members Tucker and Jess. He listens because he's tired of the same old same old. He listens and finds a literal band of brothers to move toward his goals alongside. Quinn meets Jess, and it's an instant connection. Would it happen in real life? Heck no. But this is romance, and it works for me. She's sassy and fun, and Quinn is smitten. Even though Jess is a massive part of this story, I feel that Quinn growing and becoming the McKallister he's to be, not a copy or competitor of Jake is more of Quinn's theme. A lot is going on, and some are pretty heartbreaking. But in the end, I love where this novel took us, I loved hanging out with the McKallister brood again, and I am now anxiously looking forward to Grace's story. But I have to say I loved how Quinn came out, and this book left me with very happy feels.

Was wonderful to learn more about Quinn. I have been a fan for a few years now so this was nice to have a long story with Quinn as the main character. Loved to see the journey of friendship between Quinnn and Jess. Do not want to give spoilers but if you are curretn on Book 1 to 5 in the series you will love to see all of his family represented in this one. Surprises in a great way. Happy that we are current on Quinn now ready for Grace.

Iā€™ve read Cake a few years ago and was looking forward to be back in the same world and read more about the family and friends.
Quinn has lived all his life in the shadows of his brother Jake and now is the time for him to prove that heā€™s more than the eye can meet outside his family name.
Jess is a great heroine, down to earth and with a huge heart for anyone that deserves it.
Their interactions are from hilarious to perfect romance stories and the road to their happily ever after is not without a few bumps in the way but a well deserved experience.

So worth the wait!

There are no words to describe Quinn and Jessā€™s book! I loved this book! Quinn has stolen the show and series! You will fall in love with him and Jess! Their banter and wit and deep love will cause you to not put this book down. I just finished the book and still canā€™t let it go! J Bengtsson has outdone herself with this book! Itā€™s a must read book part of a must read series! TEN stars!

Quinn's story is one I was looking forward to, I love the Cake series and can't get enough of them, but Quinn is the character I was missing the most. All the things he lived from Jake's abduction were a dark past I wanted to read about. I love Jess, I think the way they meet and how she is is perfect for Quinn. An emotional rollercoaster indeed, so many things having to come out and the there are some twists you didn't see coming, I really recommend the whole series is one of my top favorite rockstar romance series.

J. Bengsston is back with a new book in her Cake Series, and itā€™s Quinnā€™s story! I am one of those die hard readers of this series so much so that I messaged Jill to ask her to come on my Bookshelf Boyfriends Podcast. This book literally gave me everything I didnā€™t know I needed. Quinn is that guy who has always lived in his older brother Jake's shoes. Then he meets Jess. These two just have an instant connection, and Iā€™m here for it. It was just a great book to add to the Cake Series. I wonā€™t say much more cause this is an absolute must read. Thank you Jill for setting us up for Graceā€™s story. I canā€™t wait for this! Be sure to add this to those TBR GoodReads Lists.
