I completely devoured this book (mainly because Benedict is one of my favorite characters in the entire series)! But there were parts of the book that I didn’t particularly like. The almost rape of Sophie towards the start of the book was definitely one thing I just didn’t care for. As well as the back and forth for Benedict to decide whether he wanted to “risk his reputation” to marry an illegitimate child. Also he just came across as insensitive (like absurdly insensitive) towards Sophie and I just didn’t like that either. But all in all, this was a good book! The chemistry was there and I absolutely adore Sophie as a character.

Enjoyed it! Not my go to genre but I do have a soft spot for a Cinderella story 🩵

Couldn't remember why I liked this one (my favorite of all the Bridgertons, really) so I had to revisit it. It turns out it's the incredibly strong sense of justice at the end. Very satisfying.
