This was fun, but probably my least favorite so far. The mystery was seeeeriously lacking.

Another good summer read from Meg Cabot. Light, quick, and thoroughly enjoyable.

YEAY 4 BINTANG GUYSSSS!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Akhirnya aku merasa puasssssss sama seriesnya Heather Wells.

Nothing special. Simple writing, predictable plot, and ineffectual attempt at trying to include social issues.

I feel like the main character focused waaaaay too much on her boyfriend owning a gun. This is book 4, we know he's a detective by now and of course he owns a gun.

The Tania Trace Rock Camp was just an OK setting. It didn't really bring the same spark or energy as the previous books, and it was clear that this was sort of a filler to the final book. It was still good, but not as engaging as the previous ones. I would like to see more of the other Cartwright family!

It's summer time and things should be slow at "Death Dorm" right? Wrong. Following the shooting of her bodyguard rockstar Tania Trace, wife of Heather's ex Jordan decides to move her rock camp to Fisher Hall.

When the producer of Tania and Jordan's reality show dies after eating a cupcake poisoned with rat poison Cartright Records hires Cooper, Jordan's brother / Heather's new "fiance" to be Tania's new bodyguard.

It's up to Heather and Cooper to find out who wants Tania dead. Especially after Tania shares a shocking secret with Heather.

This is so far my favorite of the series. And all my favorite characters are back, including Gavin and his girlfriend Jamie, Magda, Sarah, Detective Canavan and of course Tom and Steven rejoin Heather and Cooper in this latest installment, the newest since book three in 2009 (was it 2009?)

I've said it before, and I will say it again. I love that Meg Cabot writes characters that are real-sized, relatable women as opposed to stick figures. Not that there's anything wrong with being thin of course, it's just refreshing to see an author who remembers that there are other women out there besides size zeros, if that makes sense.

This book, as usual with Cabot's style is cute and humorous.

I could probably spend a whole year reading nothing but Cabot and McCall Smith. I won't, though.

This one is part of the continuing series about Heather Wells, a former pop star who is now settled into civilian life as a dorm-mother type at New York College. But unfortunately for her, people keep dying in her dorm! In this one, a rock camp hosted by her ex-boyfriend's new wife is held at the college, and of course, people die.

You know, this one didn't seem to be as well written as some of her other work. Not that I'm saying she's a genius writer anyway, but this one didn't feel as smooth.

An okay listen with moments of hilarity. I'll keep going with the series, but really I think Cabot can end her tale of Heather Wells.

I don't know if Meg Cabot has always written like this and I just didn't notice till lately, or if it's new, but her antagonists tend to be just the godawful worst, and her protagonists are terrible about standing up to them and advocating for themselves. I like you, Heather Wells, but you need to sack the f up and tell some people to fuck off. Also, mildly disappointing, Cooper Cartwright is dreamier when secretly lusted after than when a faithful & protective boyfriend/fiance. Maybe my hopes were just too high; I waited a long time for this book.
