This was one of those books I just didn't fully vibe with. I guess the only way I could describe it is...discordant? That's the main word that comes to mind. It's a little out there, but I wouldn't say it's hard to follow even when things get a little hand-wavey with regard to explanations. Yet, I was left scratching my head at the reasonings of some of the narrative/character choices. I think that may just be a byproduct of cramming so much world-building and character development and epic scope in less than 400 pages. Overall just not my taste.

4/4.5, endlessly confusing and I had no idea what was going on a lot of the time and kept having to reread things but also I totally loved it. Definitely unlike anything I’ve ever read.

I absolutely loved this book until the last 20 percent or so. It was very confusing and it diminished my love. The plot is interesting, although sometimes hard to follow. However, I loved the characters and how you learned things through the eyes of outside characters.
There were a lot of things that I felt as though the author rushed through and I felt as though the ending was just unnecessary. After a certain point it should have been wrapped up but it just kept going.

Truly could not put this one down. It felt like the grown up, smarter version of my favorite books growing up- already wish i could read it for the first time again, and i finished it five minutes ago
