Taylor has a lovely zippy prose style and she keeps the humour up while delving into the painful realities of our online lives. I found this so compulsively readable. Even when protagonist Ana behaves in ill-advised ways I may have groaned but I could not look away. Taylor also manages a tricky narrative ending with style. I feel like I’ve found a new writer to add to my ‘read everything they write’ list.

More wholesome than expected! MC ruminates on thoughts of self-worth, abandonment, love and relationships that are brought up when she cyberstalks her BF’s ex.

3.75⭐️ ngl i don’t think i’ve read a book with such a relatable fmc in a long time! it’s like parts of her thought process was taken from my brain. the book delves into the perils of social media, the constant need to update, the facade and made up life that’s created there. it also focuses on childhood experiences that significantly shapes aspects of our adulthood including how we view and react to red flag behaviours. the ending kinda fell flat for me it felt like we were building up to something only for it to be anti climactic (which in hindsight i feel like was kinda realistic but still it could’ve been executed in a better way in my personal opinion)
also certain realisations and observations of the fmc hit hard! anyone who has found themselves in the web of social media, comparison and the hardships of finding love in the age of internet would like this book!
