This is an easy quick read. But this book was messy!
He is a workaholic with a lot of issues. honestly he needed therapy. And she stud for herself! I liked that.
She tried to show him that he deserved love too. But when she finally realized that he would only continue to hurt her, and she walked away. I was so happy for her! I think that was the right thing to do.
Him coming back after only a month, without groveling… piss me off! A lot!!!

Happy Readings

This was a booktok quote made me read it ordeal, and I was hoping it was going to be similar to the Dreamland Billionaire series, but it was really just full of smut and poor decisions (on both MCs parts). The relationship between Damien and My-Linh felt forced and awkward and the constant use of the nickname "Kitten" made me cringe every single time.

I have to say, the ending did shock me and made me smile and the side characters were enjoyable.

Ughhhh so cuteeee. Was not expecting it to be so good. Well written, good plot, cute moments. Everything u want in a romance book. Smut 4/5 actually good. The book itself had a few typos but the best usually do. Mmc is obsessed with fmc and she’s quirky but not annoying.
Had a stupid third act breakup that I thought was gonna be avoided but wasnt
Definitely gonna keep reading the series.

My-linh, delivery girl trying to get her PhD and just make it. Damien, multimillionaire jerk. The smit starts right away and there’s a lot! The storyline was all over there place with a lot to take in. Family drama, crazy exes, fun brothers and bffs, a lot of sex!, rough parent, money! A lot of the plots was left unanswered, especially with the uncle drama

I love this broken billionaire meets super snarky but brilliant intern! My Linh was not always an intern at Damien's company. She first met him a year before, where she told him to eff off! A year later the internship she desperately needs is with none other than Damien's company. Her snark is still there, and though she tries to reign it in, he loves to provoke her so it naturally comes out. Damien is letting her shadow him as a favor, but soon he realizes he can't go a day without seeing her. Great story line, laugh out loud banter, and kickass characters, I loved it! I received this ARC from Bad Boy Updates.

This book was good. I always love a grumpy x sunshine book, however I appreciated the fact that Damien wasn’t ALWAYS a grump. I felt this was a really realistic depiction of a CEO romance (despite him not be the actual CEO but was the main boss of the Australian location of his family’s company). Finally, a man that is not always cold and mean for 60% of the book until suddenly he starts to show small smiles to the FMC only, Damien was intimidating but also human. Yes he could be mean and ruthless but he also made mistakes and showed he had a heart. I think that was my favourite thing about this book.
The reason for my lower rating was the anticlimactic ending of it all. I felt there was no like lead up to this huge shit show of events that was slowly emerging throughout the whole novel, just one day this women showed up and convinced him to marry her. Then that lasted about two pages before he decided he was going to break it off and grovel to the FMC, which was cute yeah but I didn’t feel like throwing my book at a wall (which admit it, is how you know you’re reading a five star novel)
That’s not to say I wouldn’t recommend this book. After a few books that left me with a bleeding heart, this was a nice casual read that mellowed me out and got me out of a possible book slump.

The idea of instant attraction to the point of obsessive objectification is super weird. Dude wants to fuck her at first interaction and just feels really creepy and not human. I know it’s a fantasy but I’m just not feeling it. DNF’d at 10%.
