Strange and beautiful stories, all with a little twist of magic. The author has a lyrical way with words, which made this a delight to read.

I read two of Kelly Barnhills other books which I loved and is why I was excited to pick this one up.  I felt the first three stories and the last story were good.  The ones in between ranged from not good to kind of meh.  Overall I was a bit disappointed because I had enjoyed her other books so much.

Well.. it was ok. Some stories I enjoyed more than others. I borrowed it for a couple quick reads between books. It served its purpose well.

I think it was the audiobook that made the pace in some parts slow. And it would take me a few minutes to realize the story had changed. Overall I liked most of the stories but it felt like a chore listening to the audiobook.
