We had a peek into the lives and bettered relationship of Amanda & Phillip - however again, the monologue and reflection on Marina was totally unnecessary. JQ is not fit to be writing about such serious issues as she has gone about them completely inappropriately and continues to vilify mental health.

I guess it had cute moments but it all felt unearned and pointless. Eloise didn’t feel like herself, more like a carbon copy of her mom. And the chapter focused on her daughter, Amanda who told us over and over how great her parents were rather than showing any cute moments.
Spoiler I felt that her knowing so much about Marina’s death was a bit unnecessary. She already didn’t love her birth mom, why did they tell her this so we could get Amanda on top of everyone, hating on her mother’s memory and mental illness? I also felt that her rushed love story didn’t have the charm Posy’s did in Sophie’s epilogue. It was super rushed and made me very uncomfortable to hear about her sex life considering she was 8 in the book I just finished (even though she was obviously aged up in the epilogue). Overall, not a fan.
