I would have finished the book a lot sooner but I had to make the July Maps. When I checked this book out from the lie bury (where I bury all my lies) I was trying to get the book that the movie Amazing Grace is based off (at least I think it's based off a book. It was a coolo movie I watched with Sweet Ashley a few months back when I read [b:Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln|2199|Team of Rivals The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln|Doris Kearns Goodwin|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1347278868s/2199.jpg|2861004]). This was a sad/feel good book. The nun Maggie reminds me of one of my coworkers whom I could see being also a nun. She's pretty religious.
The narrator [a:Tom Dheere|3180872|Tom Dheere|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1336092326p2/3180872.jpg] was interesting and had a very pleasant voice like someone from the film Pleasantville. I think a more intense-sounding narrator would have been preferred but he did well. His website has audio clips if you should choose to indulge.
The book could have had less cussing too.

An earthquake in San Francisco affects its people it many different ways… some for the best and some for the worst. I absolutely loved this book. Its storyline was great. I love how all the main characters lives were interlinked throughout the book. I especially loved Maggie and that she was there for almost every main character in this book. She was an angel on earth. I also loved her and Everett’s relationship
I started this and it felt interesting. But then it's so slow read. But at the same time didn't wanna give up on the book. Took the longest time to finish this. Don't think I'd read it again.

The book wrapped up the ending too tidily. It wasnt very realistic at all.
Nothing really happened in terms of plot, I just kept waiting and waiting for the climax to come but it never did..
This was the first Danielle Steel book I have read. It was a very easy read and a compelling story. I was pleasantly surprised with it and I would read another one of her books if I wanted an easy read for a vacation.
My first foray into the writings of Ms. Steele. Not generally my genre of choice but it wasn't too bad really. I quite liked the inter-linked stories but I found the characters fairly predictable.
