I chose this book because I had just read The Light We Lost from this author and was mesmerized by that book..

This one did not measure up to The Light We Lost..not even close..but it was a good read. I think anyone could get through this one quickly. I finished in one day.

Not all of the details of the plot or of the relationships the main character had with the love interest(s) was believable all the time..or maybe it was just that the trials the main character went through just seemed..glazed over; or was hard for a day and then everything worked itself out.

The book had good relationship transformation, character growth, following your dreams…feel good ending. All in all, I’d recommend :)

I really enjoyed this story: the different timelines, the two ways of telling the same story, and how it converged at the end.  I related to this story in more ways than one, and that made it an emotional read.  The reference to my all-time favorite song, Tracy Chapman's Fast Car, was an amazing bonus!  The themes of music, love, and the way our choices affect our lives is a strong combination that will stay with me for a long time.

I alternated between hardback and audio - and loved that the audiobook included the actual music from the book.

Another gut punch of a book. Jill Santopolo never fails to make me feel and cry. Her books are always a clear reminder that somethings are not black and white specially when two people choose to spend their life together.

I do wish some parts of the story were a little bit more elaborated on because it moved pretty quickly but I loved it all the same.
