I didn’t expect this to be a bit of action/suspense mixed in with the lighthearted romance. There wasn’t a lot of logic in the story or in the characters’ decisions. It wasn’t tstl, and I was entertained. I liked how hard Colin falls for Kirby, and there isn’t a ton of angst over “will they/won’t they,” which I’m happy about. There was a lot of drama from exes.

Well, that was fun! Not only was this book funny and super steamy, but there was some adventure and mystery thrown in too. I loved Kirby and Colin together. I loved that Kirby wrote horror novels and named her cat Murder. And I loved that Colin’s nickname for Kirby was “Larry”, I don’t know why, besides the fact that it’s quirky, but that totally tickled me. Definitely looking forward to the rest of this series!
