Cute Best Friend's to Lover's
Best friend's Colin and Kirby decide to take a spontaneous trip to Las Vegas after drinking a little too much and kissing. Deciding to make the best of the week they decide some benefits to their friendship wouldn't be a bad idea. A series of, rather unfortunate, events ends up with the both of them realizing their love for each other.
A very quick read, the whole book is told over the period of about 48 hours, with the epilogue a few months later. The banter of the characters and their comfortability around each other make this a really fun read. Highly suggest this one!

This was my first read from Ms. Valente and I was not disappointed. This was also my first rock star romance, but it wont be my last.
I enjoyed this author's writing style to include the back and forth POV from both Kirby and Colin. Valente kept it light with a smooth story line that included enough sass, chaos and relatability to keep me hooked. I found the heroine, Kirby, with her inner monologue and general love of all things creepy fun to follow along with. She's not a damsel looking to be rescued but more of a spitfire looking for her next orgasm! Colin had a balance of cocky dirty talking rock-star and home schooled violinist nerd with small town roots.
I enjoyed this story for what it was. A quick fun friends-to-lovers read with each 'situation' having a swift and complete resolution. It hooked me enough to read the next in the series, Bang Theory.
This gets a solid 4 stars. I'm looking forward to getting to experience the stories of the remaining Lips On Fire band mates.

This wild adventure can only happen in books and Vegas!
Not gonna lie, I was highly amused by Larry and Murder's connection. It seems this Creepy girl does in fact speak cat. Lol.
The Bangover was a unique experience. It was flirty fun with a side of did that just happen.

At least half of this was absolutely bonkers (like the namesake film The Hangover, I guess) but it was also super sweet and the protagonists immediately relatable and sympathetic, with deftly sketched back stories. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.
