im sobbing im fucking hoarse from crying. my eyes are swollen and i can barely see what im writing. i wish i could forget about the end and read it all over for the first time. that was an experience. the best romance novel i've ever read. and probably will ever read.

Okay so on Friday I was left stranded without a single book to read except for The Song of Achilles, so naturally I decided it was time for a reread. Little did I know that it would encompass my entire Saturday evening and cause me to sob uncontrollably for at least 2 hours. I should have known this was coming, but for some reason this reread devastated me more than the first time I read it. Maybe it's because I was already sad for them at the beginning, knowing what would happen at the end. Anyways this book is and continues to be one of the best I've ever read my heart may never be happy again but I would do it again and again if given the chance. Also during my read I was struggling to find good music to both vibe and wail to so I looked up a TSOA playlist and I have to thank whoever made it for introducing me to like seven new songs for weeping. Final message is that you MUST read this book. It is a modern classic and if you don't cry by the end I will judge you severely.
