DNF at 56% Deep Sigh here.

My thoughts? Just because you can write a book doesn’t mean you should.

Character development? Nah.
Chemistry? F. It.
Plot? Let’s do as little as possible.
Surface level characters? Check.
Romance that is unbelievable (and not in the good way)? You betcha.
Comedy? The only thing funny is that this is suppose to be a well developed book.

Sometimes I regret reading and coming across good, can’t put you down books, because the bar is high people and this, this isn’t even on the same stratosphere.

Don’t waste your time. You can’t get it back.

Wow! So you think YOUR boss is difficult? Meet Grant Price!

Melody Corlett has been a Personal Assistant (albeit from New Zealand) to Grant Price (located in London), Chairman of Price Industries, for almost a year and has achieved the status of being his longest-served PA…quite a feat for a man who rarely smiles and is all business 24/7.

But then Mr. Price decides to pay a surprise visit to his office in New Zealand.

Melody has never met Mr. Price in person and…here’s where the fun begins!

This is a rather fast-paced story but is written in a manner where you never feel like you’re missing something or being rushed. It’s at times hilarious and poignant. A great summertime read!

Boss on the line is the first book in the Billionaire Boss series and the first I have read by this author. I’m not sure why I have never come across one of her books, but I am now a big fan. This was one of the funniest books I have read lately. Mel’s office pranks were so hilarious; I mean how can you not laugh at the Grant Price doll or the Bingo board? It certainly was a great moral boost for the employees when they had to deal with grumpy Grant. I loved watching Grant’s grumpy attitude slowly change as he fell for Mel.
This was a must-read if you like witty banter, hilarious office antics, and a sunny heroine take on a grumpy hero. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait for the next book.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It picked up a bit at the very end, but for the most part I struggled to stay interested. While I saw what was supposed to be the supposed chemistry between the MMC and FMC on page, I didn’t feel it.

That being said, I really appreciated that there was no third-act-breakup or some big misunderstanding at the end. The FMC and MMC were honest and trusted each other, which was a pleasant surprise!

Boss on the Line was a simple and cute romance book. Unfortunately it just fell a little flat for me. Based off the blurb I was hoping for a real enemies to lovers but their relationship just went from 0 to 50 fast…there wasn’t any tension between Grant or Mel. It started off funny and strong but immediately went into no conflict.

It’s a slow burn for sure!

Loved this book, my only gripe is that one the thing was discovered it all went downhill to the ending FAST. But I can’t wait to read more!

Was actually really cute, i just wish the spice had started a bit sooner.
I made a guess that Jason would be involved but was pleasantly surprised to be wrong!
