I am in fact not ok

A wonderful encapsulation of grief and loneliness. A tangible feeling to the word with shocking events that unfold for Marin as she navigates her new world alone.

Double points for there being queerness that doesn’t need to be explained.

3.75 I really liked it, I think it's one of those books that benefitted a lot from having an open ending even though I got a bit frustrated. I think I found out about this book from the internet, that portrayed it as a sapphic love story but it wasn't. it was a heartbreaking story about love and loss and how unhealthy coping mechanisms can make you feel like a rough patch is the end of you. even though this story is ya I believe It to be very heavy because Marin (the main character) gets betrayed so badly by one on the only people she trusted. I loved the ending because it gave just enough comfort to make me tear up and to wrap the book up but it also left me aching for more, especially more content of marin and her best friend learning to move on together.
