Don't have a lot to say, just a beautiful, straightforward story that had me teary-eyed toward the end. It's short and fast-paced, perhaps a bit too fast sometimes, affecting emotional resonance, but definitely worth a read if you love books involving animal protagonists.

An emotional war story told through the perspective of a horse. A very good book for children in secondary school to tell the horrors of war in an age-appropriate manner. Some good visual discriptions, and an interesting concept for narrating a war story. But not enough time to grow attached to characters and sometimes it doesn't make a lot of sense as to where the characters are.
