I enjoyed the two timelines from the interview to the main storyline. I liked that the story was told from the male main character’s perspective. This book would make for a good October read 👻

Spoiler I did not enjoy the middle of the book when we believed Leeds was cheating on Layla. However I think having a problem in the book that the reader does not like is what makes the book good. Glad everything was resolved in the end. I also didn’t believe Layla was going to survive at the end. Colleen Hoover had me hooked until the very end.

I'm still not sure what I feel about this book. It's the weirdest book I have ever read. I went into it without knowing much except that its a paranormal romance which means a human falls in love with a spirit/ghost and that's it. But the twists by the end of the book made me give this book one more star. I also liked how the story was laid out from the very beginning So, when we came at the end although we are shocked by it, but we could see that oh there were signs all over the book from the beginning. So, everything was very cohesive. Hence, 3 stars.

I am perplexed by the male protagonist in the book Leeds. What he feels and does in the bed and breakfast is just awful and makes sense why everyone hates him. But, it makes me wonder that if he wouldn't have stayed and did what he did (
Spoiler i know he could've just used the laptop to communicate and didn't need Willow to possess Layla's body
), we would never know and
Spoiler Layla would've been stuck in that house as Willow.
So, I'm again not really sure how I feel about Leeds. Anyway, none of the characters were likable.

A really interesting take on the supernatural genre, featuring a gripping plot packed with surprising twists. I thought that the mystery and the gradual reveal of information was very well done. Honestly, if Leeds (yes, he’s literally named after the city in England) was in any way a likeable character, I would have easily rated this book at least 4 stars, but he’s not even i likeable in a way that’s fun to read - he just makes terrible decisions out of selfishness and then sulks about them - and that really made it difficult to root for him and the romance in the novel.

Wow they really had me in the first half I’m not going to lie. This books made me feel every emotion under the sun, and the ending left me stunned! One of Colleen Hoovers best works! Leeds is a terrible boyfriend, however, and really made me angry. I wanted to throw this book a few times and I don’t say that lightly.

well… what should I say? First of all: ghosts aren’t my cup of tea.
The hair scene… WHAT💀 the gaslighting, the infidelity… hell nah💀 the twists were alright, not phenomenal. Wouldn’t recommend😍
