People say you can skip this book, and they're right.

It feels that this book was really hammering home why they say 'males' and 'females'. Imo that is one of the most awkward choices Maas has made, so from her perspective I can understand why she included mention of the justification here.

Why Maas would choose to introduce ANOTHER character named the weaver is beyond me. Caused confusion more than once.

There was a paragraph in the sex scene that was unique and hot, so that's something.

I really enjoyed this one. It warmed my heart after the turmoil of the previous book.

Brilliant book! It was beautifully written and great use of POVs from different characters. I loved that it wasn’t war focused, it felt like we got to see how each character lived straight after the war for prythian. Great book just what was needed after ACOWAR

I was gearing myself up to not like this book because so many people said they it was beyond boring  but I, however, find it to be really entertaining. I think it allows a break for all the fighting and war. We get to know more background characters and their traumas like Cassian, the Morrgain, and Nesta and that for me was enjoyable. I really enjoy the interactions of each character with each other.

I enjoyed the graphic audio version of the book a little more than just reading the book. It made it a little more entertaining. The switch from first person to third person limited each chapter still throws me off and even more so in this production with the narrator.

Parts of this were really interesting, but overall it just wasn’t my jam.
